r.a.d.toolbar is a flexible component for implementation of tool and button strips, needed in most web applications. When integrated with telerik r.a.d.dock it mimics the versatility of desktop toolbars.

- Rich Collection of Toolbar Items
r.a.d.toolbar items are represented as child controls in the structure of the toolbar and are very easily customized using skins and the related properties. - Text-only, Image-only, or Mixed buttons
Every button on the toolbar can be customized independently to either display text, image or both: - Button Groups
You can specify groups of toggle buttons to achieve radio-button functionality. All you have to do is set just a single property with the name of the group as a parameter. - Horizontal or Vertical Orientation
You can specify the way the toolbar is oriented on the page, i.e. horizontally or vertically. To determine the orientation of a given toolbar you can use the set of client-side methods. - Keyboard Shortcut Support
r.a.d.toolbar provides support for keyboard shortcuts. By setting ShortcutKey and AccessKey properties you can assign a key combination to a particular toolbar button. - VS.NET Design-time support

The appearance of r.a.d.toolbar can be easily customized through skins to include transparent rounded corners, context sensitive styles, etc. There are numerous predefined skins provided with the distribution of r.a.d.toolbar. You can also create your own skins following the proper skin structure. It is possible to have multiple toolbars on the same page - each with a different skin and size. - Sized Skins
r.a.d.toolbar supports different sizes of buttons. You can create toolbars with any size and write your own skins for them. The size of the button is set through width and height properties. - Versatile binding capabilities
r.a.d.toolbar fully supports binding to (IEnumerable, IListSource). The input for the data binding method is easily localizable.
- Programmatic Binding - r.a.d.toolbar provides a rich and easy-to-use server-side API, so you can easily populate it with any number and/or type of items.
- XML Binding - r.a.d.toolbar provides rich API for working with XML. You can load data from an XML content file by only providing the location of the XML file.
- Rich client-side API
r.a.d.toolbar exposes rich and flexible client-side API, which provides a set of objects, properties, methods and events. You can get the client-side object instance of r.a.d.toolbar using its ClientID. Once you have gotten the client-side object instance, you can use various properties/methods. - Support for content templates
r.a.d.toolbar fully supports templates through its RadToolbarTemplateButton child control. You can embed any content inside a r.a.d.toolbar template, including HTML markup and ASP.NET server controls, including the telerik controls or other third-party controls. - Integration with r.a.d.dock
You can easily integrate r.a.d.toolbar with r.a.d.dock to create floating and dockable toolbars with automatic orientation adjustment. - Transition Fade Effects for IE
r.a.d.toolbar supports multiple transition fade effects in IE which enrich the look-and-feel of the toolbar.
