Miscellaneous Enhancements
OLE objects can now be embedded into the TcxRichEit control. Existing objects can be embedded by pasting them from the clipboard or simply by dragging media files into the editor's client area. If the second method is used, the editor displays an icon that serves as a link to the underlying media content. End-users can double-click this link to invoke the application associated with the appropriate file type.

You can also invoke standard object embedding dialogs via code. These dialogs even allow you to create and customize objects directly within the rich text editor, as shown in the following image.

Progress Bar Enhancements
You can now display marquee progress bars to show general activity instead of completion progress.

In addition to traditional progress bars, you can now use Windows® Vista style progress bars, with animated progress bar highlighting effects.

TSpeedButton Emulation
With the TcxCustomButton control, you can mimic the appearance and behavior of standard TSpeedButton controls. Note that this doesn't simply mean that they can remain in a pressed state. They can also act as a radio group, if needed.
Panel Control
Previously, there was no easy way to display a panel control that would use our look and feel customization mechanism. With this new release, we've updated our group box control, so that it can be easily turned into a fully-functional panel.
- In this version we've implemented support for CodeGear C++Builder 2007.
- Modular package architecture. Now each built-in skin represents a module (a set of resource files and packages containing skin definition data). To make a built-in skin available within the IDE, all you need to do is to load a corresponding design-time package via the Component \ Install Packages menu item. By default, all design-time packages are loaded. You can click check boxes to load/unload skin packages. After this, you can remove unnecessary skin units from the 'uses' clause in your projects, and recompile them.
- Now you can dynamically load skins to reduce memory usage of skinned applications. To accomplish this, in the Skin Editor, save skin projects to binary files (.SKINRES files). Call the dxSkinsUserSkinLoadFromFile global function to load skins from .SKINRES files. To load skins from streams, call the dxSkinsUserSkinLoadFromStream global function. To apply the loaded skin, set the skin controller's SkinName property to 'UserSkin'.
