JIDE Code Editor is a special text editor for source code. There are several open source editor projects but most of them are either GPL'ed which prevents most companies who are making proprietary products, or lack of quality. That's why we decided to make this flexible and powerful component. For most features you would expect from a code editor, you can find them in this product.
