• Table row visibility is now honored when rendering a report to excel.
• The designer has been verified to work in Visual Studio 2008 SP1 beta.
• The Chart data region now allows report authors to create their own color palettes.
• The parameter object at report runtime now exposes the Prompt property set in the report definition.
• A command has been added to the designer to let report authors generate an Excel template file that can be used to alter the resulting output when exporting the report to Excel.

Fixed Issues

• Textboxes containing lots of text should now work in Excel.
• Excel templates can now contain charts.
• The designer control can now be disposed of without affecting future instances of the designer. Multiple instances of the designer can also now co-exist.
• The dropdown portion of smart panel comboboxes now works after an error occurs while editing the value.
• The designer now displays some helpful information and links while working with the designer to learn about new features.
• Certain combinations of parameters and using LocateDataSource no longer cause reports to render empty after changing parameter values.
• Textboxes that are just wide enough to display a single character now render correctly in PDF.
• The Report menu in the designer can now be localized.
• Cell indentation is now applied in fewer cases and tries to set it based on the padding.
• Localized property names no longer break the property grid in the designer control.
• Images with transparent backgrounds (such as the evaluation banner) no longer discolor the contents behind them when using Adobe Reader to open a PDF.
• The images on the chart smart panel for data point marker and data point label have been switched to the correct image.
• Textboxes with transparent backgrounds now display their parent's background instead of always rendering as white.

Known Issues

• The first keypress on a textbox that has focus but is not in edit mode is ignored in 64-bit apps.
