JAKARTA – September 1, 2009 – Intersoft Solutions today announced the first service pack for WebUI Studio 2009, a significant update that includes hundreds of enhancements and improved stability for all products across ASP.NET and Silverlight platform. In addition, the service pack for Silverlight now includes full support for Silverlight 3, .NET RIA Services, DomainDataSource data binding and much more.

Over 150+ Refinements

The WebUI Studio 2009 Service Pack 1 release includes multitude of refinements – from performance tweaking and improved browser support to new properties added for greater flexibility. Several flagship products – such as WebGrid Enterprise, WebScheduler and WebTextEditor – received the most enhancements to support more enterprise application scenarios and improved stability.

WebTextEditor now supports right-to-left text direction, new script injection prevention, reduced output size, improved XHTML support, and dozens of new APIs and client events; WebScheduler includes support for 12-hours format, daylight saving, SSL support, faster timeline rendering and more; while WebGrid includes better client binding support for section 508 standards, more flexible batch update configuration, and improved support for Firefox 3.5.

The release of Silverlight 3 is a phenomenal happening marking the history of cutting-edge RIA technology. Not only it offers dozens of visual eye-candies, it also introduces a new RIA services that simplifies data connectivity and binding approach; element-to-element binding, and more.

WebUI Studio 2009 Service Pack 1 includes full interoperability and support for .NET RIA Services and DomainDataSource control, which enables automatic data processing such as when performing data update (CRUD), sorting, paging, and filtering operations.

This significant enhancement provides you an elegant solution to implement your existing RIA Services and easily plug it into Intersoft WebAqua or Presenter control without any modifications. The following code snippet shows a simple declaration that binds a GridPresenter into .NET RIA Services.

With the automatic product upgrade mechanism, it only takes a couple of minutes to get you ready and running the latest SP1 – without even interrupting your project. When running the SP1 setup, the installer will detects the existing 2009 R1 installation and smartly remove it before installing the SP1. Please remove your license key when prompt to do so to avoid any unnecessary licensing issues latter.
